Deciding on having a new kitchen designed and installed in an exciting prospect. Due to the importance of all interior design projects and the factors involved, there are certain questions we get from clients early on in the process about what we do.

Where are you based?
We work remotely and offer our services to clients in Sussex, Surrey and Kent and the surrounding areas. We bring the showroom to you, meaning we are flexible and competitively priced!
I'm having an extension; will you work from the architect's plans?
Yes, we will require a DWG file or an original copy of your architects scale plans. As soon as we have the DWG file or hardcopy plan and a brief from you we are able to start working on your exciting project.
I have a small budget; can you help?
Yes, we work on projects of all sizes.
With being an independent business, we can source the best deals from our suppliers and offer more choice. Prior to working on any project we ask clients for an indication of their budget so we can tailor the project to suit them.
However, on average our kitchens start from £8,000 up to £20k+, not including the installation of your kitchen and associated works.
Do you offer financing options?
At Polished Designs LTD, we are committed to delivering excellent service and we understand that many customers may prefer the option of paying with finance.
So, we’ve partnered with established credit brokers, Ideal4Finance, to enable customers to spread the cost of purchase with manageable monthly payments.
Do you have samples of your products?
Yes, at the design presentation we will bring to you all of the relevant samples for your concept. We have door samples, colour swatches, handles, worktop samples, and many more samples which we bring to your home.
Once we have confirmed the spec for the project we leave a set of the samples with you so you can source your flooring, paint colours, furniture etc.
Is there anywhere we can see the kitchens you supply in a showroom?
Yes! Whilst we have a vast array of sample doors, brochures and worktop samples to show you we also appreciate some of our clients still want to see full kitchen displays to get a real feel for what they are buying.
We can take you to our suppliers exclusive £1.5 million showroom near Windsor (which isn’t open to the general public) for a truly inspirational visit where you can pick out your own personal touches for your kitchen.
Can I see any kitchens you have installed in the local area?
Yes, we have past clients who are happy to share their completed kitchen projects and experience with Polished Designs. We also have a portfolio showcasing some of our installations.
Can we just get a design from Polished Designs?
Yes. If you are outside our Sussex catchment area for the full design and project management service then we do offer a design only package.
This is perfect if you are looking for a professional design, plan, CAD images and full component list so can source your own kitchen.
Where do you get your kitchens from?
Our kitchens come from a leading supplier – Second Nature whom we have worked with for a number of years and are of superior quality.
We have the kitchen carcasses made locally here in the UK which means we can have a more bespoke approach when designing your kitchen, this gives us much more flexibility than the big national sheds you may have visited so we can overcome problems and work with tricky spaces that don’t find the ‘normal’ mould!
All of our carcasses are built rigid with either Hettich or Blum hinges and drawerboxes, and Kessebohmer wireworks.
What are your payment terms?
When you are ready to proceed with your project we ask for a 30% deposit payment- this payment secures the price for you and also books the installation slot with our fitters.
This is then followed by a 60% interim payment which is to be transferred to us 3 weeks before your installation starts. This enables us to start the production of your kitchen.
The final 10% balance payment is then due when you have had the kitchen delivered to your home.
Is installation included in your prices?
Yes, our full quote for your kitchen will include the installation of your kitchen.
Unlike some of our competitors we feel it is important to provide you with an accurate installation quote which covers the installation of your kitchen and any associated works, ie tiling, decorating, electrics etc. This is why we arrange a site meeting with the fitter to run through your requirements prior to us giving you a quote for the whole project.
This ensures you get an accurate quote before you commit to the project so that there aren’t any nasty hidden costs once the project is underway.
This process also means that you will have met the fitter before he arrives to install your kitchen, as we understand from personal experience the importance of knowing the person who will be working in your home.

We had an amazing experience working with Amy and Sarah from first phone call intro to final kitchen meeting. We had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted from a new kitchen and a crazy timeline due to a baby on the way.
Polished took our initial ideas, improved them and bought them to life on time while working with and respecting our budget.
After living in our kitchen for a couple of months the attention to detail of functionality and quality of build really shines through, everything is just were it should be and we love cooking again and are so proud to show people are new kitchen!
I would advise any of my friends to work with them to bring their kitchen to life.

I would thoroughly recommend Sarah and Amy from Polished Designs. We are delighted with our kitchen! From start to finish, they were friendly and professional and provided a great service. The process of picking out a kitchen and everything that went with it was made very easy for us and the final product is better than we could have imagined. Amy and Sarah were completely brilliant from initial introduction all the way to completion. We loved all their ideas and attention to detail during the design phase. They will easily create a visually stunning space, unique to you, but more importantly will ensure every element is coherent and functional. Sarah and Amy designed our kitchen for us as part of an extension/renovation project. From the first meeting, they were wonderful. They accommodated all of our needs and came up with suggestions we hadn't even considered to provide us with the best kitchen for our family, with the space we had to work with. They were able to suggest ways to bring costs down when we were concerned about our budget. They were always super helpful, prompt, friendly and professional. They brought so many samples for us to look at, including a variety of worktops, handles and cabinet doors which really helped us with our final choices.
The personal touch is so invaluable when a renovation can be so so stressful. They coordinated and communicated with our builder brilliantly, and oversaw the entire delivery and installation, including worktop templating/fitting. They filled me with confidence and made that part of the process seamless.
Honestly, I didn't realise how a kitchen could totally change family life, but it has. We spend so much time together as a family in there now, I'm no longer cooking on my own in another room from the family! We are all so happy with the end result and it wouldn't have been possible without Sarah and Amy. Thank you ladies!

We contacted Sarah and Amy with a rather challenging task! My wife and I live in a small Victorian cottage and previous kitchen designers had struggled to see how they could work with the space. Sarah and Amy weren't phased by this at all and came up with a design that was not only extremely practical and asthetically great, but actually managed to give us more space! They were so easy to work with -nothing was too much trouble, they gave us great advice and were very patient when we kept changing our minds about things! Their kitchen fitter Jonny was also excellent and really brought the designs and vision to life. We are absolutely thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Polished Designs to anyone looking for a high quality bespoke kitchen.
