Our Favourite Sussex Kitchen Design Projects of 2021

2021 nearing its end means that, here at Polished Kitchen Designs, we are close to completing three full years of business!

The last few years have proved challenging at times, but 2021 has been our most successful yet! With a lot of hard work and adjustment to how we operate, we’ve continued to deliver beautiful designs to our lovely clients across the Sussex area.

Before we get started with our 3 favourite kitchens from this past year, we’ve taken a little time to reflect on what has been a testing year to say the least.

The beginning of 2021 brought a new lockdown, meaning we once again adapted to delivering our services virtually where required. The safety of our clients has always been our priority throughout the pandemic, which resulted in our design meetings being held online. Although it was challenging, we continued to deliver projects without compromise and that’s something we’re very proud of!

We’re now back to presenting our kitchen designs in person, once again bringing our extensive showroom to our client’s homes.

We’ve enjoyed every moment of each project this year. Any design from 2021 could have been onto this list! For the time being we’ll stick with these three and, who knows, we may have to write another blog to talk about the others in the near future!

Hunton Shaker, Bromley

Okay, so this one is a little out of our usual catchment area and not actually in Sussex, but this project has to be one of the stand-out designs from this year purely based on the size of the redesign! This beautiful Hunton Shaker design was fitted in collaboration with interior design specialists, The Vawdrey House.

This client underwent an entire home renovation project, with Polished Kitchen Designs tasked with transforming the kitchen space into something a little more in keeping with the rest of the house’s brand-new interiors.

A modern yet timeless theme was achieved with one of our most popular kitchens, the Hunton Shaker in Hartforth Blue.

The soft wood tones from the furnishings and flooring compliment the deep blue beautifully, providing just enough contrast for the room to be dramatic, but also homely.

The end result is a wonderfully bright, natural and family friendly space that is perfect for entertaining and day-to-day life too!

Mornington Shaker, Turners Hill

Similar to the Bromley project, this design was part of a total renovation that saw our client’s perfect kitchen come to life, from render to reality.

The initial space we were faced with was vast and empty, meaning we and the client had a lot of envisaging to do before implementing a final design. The style the client opted for was a Mornington Shaker design in Dove Grey and Graphite.

The light colour scheme was perfect for creating an airy, open space, working in tandem with all of the natural light entering the room. The central island also adds bundles of character and practicality to the room, with the additional space perfect for entertaining guests or as a work surface.

The client was over the moon with the results and so are we! Seeing a project come together from a blank canvas and into a beautiful space is exactly why we do what we do!

Remo Matt, Lindfield

This project was completed for our client in Lindfield who was looking to transform their kitchen into a modern family living space.

To achieve this, the client opted for this stunning Remo Matt design in Carbon. The colour scheme is bold, which is twinned perfectly with a modern and minimalist finish.

To keep the space feeling open and light, the kitchen was finished with a Bianco Orion Silestone worktop. The white contrast of the work surface almost illuminates the black design, keeping the room feeling balanced and welcoming.

Perhaps our favourite feature of this kitchen is the Breakfast Pantry with pocket doors. In keeping with the rest of the design, the pantry opens up to reveal additional ornamental storage. The internal soft wood tones help to balance the darker colours throughout the kitchen, much like the light worktop.

Our client was thrilled with the finished design, having perfectly captured the modern and family-friendly design they first imagined!
